The Rinaldi Group is constructing the 50 Trinity Hotel. This project will be a much needed, and anticipated, 28 story Boutique Hotel. This 81,000 SF, 173 Key hotel is located at the southwest corner of Trinity Place and Rector Street in the Financial District of downtown Manhattan. The combination of the building’s footprint and the proximity to the MTA adds to the complexities of this exciting project. The project’s foundation will incorporate 94 mini-caissons with 6’ deep pile caps. We will be drilling 45 secant piles to create a wall system which will enclose a future room for the MTA. The project calls for Rinaldi to connect this new MTA room to the existing subway platform for the southbound 1 ,R, and W lines. The project is proactively using vibration monitors and optical monitoring around the site to detect any potential issues. This hotel will serve the bustling tourist and business communities of the downtown area, and is conveniently located adjacent to the NYC Subway and historic Trinity Church.
