In 1985, The Rinaldi Group’s Scott Hill, RA, led the design & restoration team for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill as the Project Architect under a series of Historical Landmark restoration and preservation projects on the building known as The GE Building located at 570 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY.

Built between 1929 and 1931, this 50-Story, 640 Ft. Neo Gothic/Art Deco style office building was named a New York City Landmark in 1998.

The Scope of Work involved in the project including window replacement and the fabrication of fiberglass replicas of failed terracotta, limestone and masonry trim and ornamentation. Design and construction team had to have Belden Brick go back to their original recipe in order to reproduce and match the original Ironspot brick.
