                       2420 Amsterdam Avenue: The Radio Hotel

                                                The Rinaldi Group




                                                 tower development stands on the highest elevation in New
                                                 York City at 459 feet, literally Manhattan’s peak. The structure
                                                 has breathtaking views spanning 183,418 square feet of Class


                                                 of hotel space, a 1,563 square foot first floor restaurant and
                                                 12,456 square feet of first floor retail space.

                                                 This major project totaled 292,681 square feet of new,
                                                 ground-up construction with two stories of below-grade
                                                 parking with 169 spaces, two car lifts, five passenger
                                                 elevators, three service elevators, and two dumbwaiters
                                                 serving a 12th-floor event space complete with kitchen, bar, a
                                                 lounge, and outdoor terrace. The building features five
                                                 distinct setbacks with a total hard cost of construction
                                                 topping out at $103 Million.


         The project truly integrated worldwide collaboration for design and construction with interior design
         by MVRDV of Rotterdam, Netherlands, architecture by New York City’s Stonehill & Taylor, windows

         Mora Cerámicas in lllescas, Spain, interior tiles by Design & Direct Source in Portland, Oregon; and
         furniture from the Dominican Republic.

         Smart technology integrates the building management system, lighting and HVAC systems between
         Lutron Electronics and Honeywell Industries with fob card
         keyless door entries and optical motion sensor thermostats
         and lighting controls.

         Several other specialty features are included throughout the
         building like Nanawall exterior aluminum and glass folding
         partitions; a Tractel telescopic roof-top window-washing
         Davit-System; a custom designed and poured in place


         dining and lounge space complete with exterior Brazilian
         Ipe wood semi-circular benches, Corton Steel semi-circular
         planters and imported Bamboo trees creating a relaxing and
         serene ambience surrounding a mix of sofa, lounge chair
         and table seating for over 120 guests and tenants.
