this project was a $10 million gut renovation of a landmark hotel in south Beach that included major structural improvements, complete demolition and
rebuild of all Meps, remodeling of all common areas and guest rooms and construction of a ground floor 5-star lobby and restaurant. a major challenge in
this project was the installation of a new elevator in the existing hotel lobby which required a major dewatering operation while excavating and pouring the
elevator pit, and structural connection of the elevator shaft to the upper guest floors. the project operated under a phased permit with evolving revisions
to the layout and design so responsibilities included continual communication and coordination with ownership, design team and subcontractors to track
